have the following vacancy:
Account Manager
Background: Mystery
Shoppers Ltd provides a variety of organisations with programmes which
monitor their customer service. Programmes can involve assessments by
telephone, fax, email, letter, face-to-face or any combination.
We have large range of clients including many leading commercial
organisations, public bodies and charities such as Unilever, Jet2.com,
British Waterways, Conoco, WWF, Age Concern, AXA PPP, General Medical
Council, General Dental Council, Norwich Union, Tommy Hilfiger Stores,
Swinton Insurance and over 50 local authorities.
The job: Each Client is allocated an
Account Manager who is ultimately responsible for the quality of service
we give to that client. The day-to-day running of the programme is carried
out by one of the Client Service Managers and their team. To date the
Managing Director has acted as the Account Manager for all clients but the
business has grown to the point where this is no longer feasible.
The Account Manager keeps in touch with clients to ensure they are happy –
and hopefully delighted – with the service they are receiving. They will
work with the CSMs to ensure that what is being delivered is exactly what
the client wants. They will work with the Business Development Manager
once a new client has entered into a contract and will often visit the
client to discuss the details of their requirements and compile a Project
Brief which describes exactly how the programme will be run. This Brief
will be the basis for the handover to the allocated CSM.
The Account Manager is responsible for selling programme extensions and
further work.
An absolute requirement is the ability to travel within the UK and
occasionally further afield, usually by train from Exeter but sometimes by
car. The jobholder must be able to drive and will ideally have access to a
car which can be used for business travel – suitable compensation is paid
for business mileage. The jobholder should expect to be away on about
eight nights each month on average over the year.
Attributes: Many prospective Clients
want to meet a representative and the job holder must have the personal
presence and the people skills to be able to demonstrate that Mystery
Shoppers Ltd should be their preferred supplier.
The ideal applicant will be smart, personable, outgoing, confident and be
a competent typist and familiar with the basic functions of Word and
Excel. Willingness to give attention to detail is important as is the
ability to work at times under pressure.
